Revival, servicing and reconditioning of a nickel-cadmium battery bank, focused on cell condition, interconnections and electrolyte service to prepare the bank for reliable continued operation.
Project execution overview
This project was carried out at the Eighth Refinery in August 2025. The nickel-cadmium cells were prepared in stages for revival and servicing, including visual checks of cells, terminals and interconnections. Electrolyte-related service and cell organization were then performed to prepare the bank for further checks, reassembly and a reliable return to service. The gallery documents real stages of the field work and battery-bank servicing process.
